Crown Types — What’s Included

Every crown type produced in-house under ISO 13485-certified quality control

Most Popular

Monolithic Zirconia

Milled from pre-shaded or multilayer zirconia blanks, sintered, stained, and glazed. Standard-strength (3Y) for posterior, high-translucency (4Y/5Y) for anterior. Strongest all-ceramic option — no chip risk.

Flexural strength: 500–1,200 MPa · Indication: posterior crowns, bridges up to 14 units · Turnaround: 1–3 days

Anterior Cases

IPS e.max Crown

Pressed or milled lithium disilicate. Pressed e.max delivers best shade control; milled e.max CAD faster for cases with staining and glazing only. Natural light transmission closest to enamel.

Flexural strength: ~400 MPa · Indication: anterior single units, premolars · Turnaround: 3–5 days

High-Load Cases

PFM & Full-Cast Metal

PFM: metal coping milled or cast, veneered with feldspathic porcelain. Full-cast metal for second molars with limited clearance or high-brux patients requiring maximum durability.

PFM: base metal or precious alloy · Full-cast: Co-Cr or high-noble · Turnaround: 3–7 days

PMMA Temporary Crowns

CAD/CAM milled PMMA temporaries for single units and full-arch cases. Designed from the same STL file as the final restoration — the provisional shows the patient the intended contour before the final crown is fabricated. Available in tooth shades A1–D4. Turnaround: 1–2 business days.

Crown & Bridge — Multi-Unit

Three-unit to full-arch bridges in zirconia (most common), PFM, or metal. Implant-supported bridges available — confirm implant system compatibility before ordering. Zirconia bridges up to 14 units. Turnaround: 3–7 business days depending on span and material.

zenta model 4 - Dental Crown Lab — Zirconia, e.max & PFM Crowns - World Dental Lab

Zirconia is stronger — monolithic zirconia has flexural strength of 500–1,200 MPa versus e.max at ~400 MPa. However, pressed e.max transmits light more like natural enamel, making it preferred for aesthetic anterior single-unit cases. Zirconia is the standard for posterior crowns, bridges, and high-occlusal-load cases.

Standard single-unit zirconia: 1–3 business days from STL receipt. Rush 24-hour processing is available. e.max crowns: 3–5 business days. PFM crowns: 5–7 business days. All turnaround times start from confirmed file receipt.

We prefer digital STL files — export from 3Shape TRIOS, Medit, Primescan, iTero, Carestream, or Planmeca and upload via our portal. Physical PVS or polyether impressions are also accepted if you do not have a digital scanner.

Yes. We provide white-label dental crown fabrication for laboratories that outsource their crown production. Cases are returned with no World Dental Lab branding. Lab accounts receive volume pricing and a dedicated account manager.

If a crown does not meet the shade or fit specified on the received prescription, we remake it at no charge and cover return shipping. Contact us within 5 business days of receiving the case. Remakes due to prescription changes or clinical errors are charged at standard rates.
